Welcome to the 2021-22 School Year!
I am very excited as your new superintendent to serve Otis R-3 students and their families, the district, and the community. Besides welcoming you to the school year, I also welcome your input and especially your participation as we begin a new year.
I have recently moved to Otis, CO from Cheyenne, WY after having served as a district leader in several Wyoming and Montana school districts. I am looking forward to designing and ensuring a high-quality education for our students even though we are currently faced with many uncertainties and challenges. I am a strong believer in active stakeholder engagement and collaborative strategies that support student growth and achievement. Please reach out if you have any questions or recommendations as to how we can make a strong and nurturing school district. Strong schools emerge from strong communities, and strong communities are reflections of strong schools.
I have enjoyed meeting many of you throughout this past month and look forward to working together very soon. Students start school on Tuesday, August 24th. Faculty and staff are very excited for the first day of school and have been preparing for several weeks.
