School Board Candidate Requirements – Otis School District
Individuals interested in running for the Otis School District Board of Education must meet the following qualifications:
· Residency: Must be a resident of the Otis School District.
· Voter Registration: Must be a registered voter for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the election date.
· Background Check: Must successfully complete all required background checks in accordance with district policy.
· Nonpartisan Election: School board elections are nonpartisan; candidates may not run as a member of a political party.
· Nomination Signatures: Must submit a petition containing the signatures of at least 25 registered voters who reside within the Otis School District boundaries.
Board Packet Pick-Up and Return Information
Board packets will be available for pick-up beginning
August 6, 2025, at the school office.
Office Hours - Tuesday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Packets must be returned to the school office no later than August 29, 2025, by 4:00 PM.
