It is Otis R-3’s wish to return to school to “pre-pandemic normal” as much as possible. The delta virus is circulating; however, to date, there are no Governor Executive Orders or other agency mandates regarding school safety protocols.
The Board of Education and Administration believe that parents are the best decision makers when considering the health of their child. There is a lot of information and research regarding COVID health risks as well as recommendations to reduce the transmission and symptoms of the virus. We encourage you to review this information and then make decisions that you believe is important to the safety of your child. The District will continue deep cleaning of the facility, emphasizing frequent handwashing, and also ask that you keep your child home if they are ill. Wearing masks will be optional.
